On July 19, 2018, the first ship of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplied to China by the Yamal LNG project, a major Sino-Russian energy cooperation project, was delivered to the Jiangsu Rudong LNG receiving station under PetroChina through the Arctic Northeast Channel. PetroChina has opened a new chapter in the Yamal project's supply of LNG to China, bringing new gas sources to China's clean energy supply.

 

PetroChina and China Silk Road Fund hold 20% and 9.9% of the Yamal project respectively.
